Recessed street lighting is a series of LED bulbs mounted directly into the sidewalk, curb or wall. Console devices are used for road lighting.

Sources of light

Until recently, only incandescent lamps were produced. They are still found in garden and city lamps today. However, they are gradually being replaced by more durable and economical solutions:

• halogen;

• luminescent;

• LED;

• energy saving.

Halogen lamps are advanced incandescent bulbs. Their service life is twice as long as that of conventional lamps. Fluorescent devices also last a long time. However, in such devices, the light intensity depends on the ambient temperature. When the mercury column drops to zero degrees, the visibility of light becomes 45% less.

LED lamps are characterized by long service life, good performance and safety. LEDs have low power consumption, which saves electricity costs. Thus, the best option for creating an outdoor light network is LED bulbs.

Source of power

The lantern can work from a network. Manufacturers also produce battery and solar devices. They have a limited lifespan. Electrical appliances will last longer. To save energy consumption, choose models with a motion sensor.

For the manufacture of fixtures, metal, wood, plastic, ceramics are used. The durability and appearance of the product depends on this. The devices have useful additions: anti-vandal protection, remote control and twilight sensor.
